I use this for two things. First I use it for what it's intended for which is to help retain water for plants. I have added this to pots and my garden this year and I truly feel it's helped lower my watering needs. I garden using raised garden beds and here in Austin, Texas which this year has already had more than 27 days of over 100 degree weather. Raised gardens are convenient to build but they dry out faster than traditional beds. Usually by this time of year my tomato plants are long gone or whatever they are producing is suffering due to irregular watering. This year my tomato plants are looking good, I'm only watering every two days but my tomatoes are not suffering and tomato production is still good. The second thing I use this for is to create neck wraps. I create the neck wraps out of bandanas and just a little bit of this product absorbs probably 10 times it's size. Wet the neck wrap, stick it in the fridge and wear them during hot days. The Miracle-Gro Water Storing Crystals, absorbs the cold water and helps you stay cool on hot days.
