2-Year UPDATE (6/2017): It's held up pretty well... It has stained from body sweat, which is a little gross, but whatever, I didn't get a protector so what do I expect? I had 2 surgeries this month, so I'm in bed A LOT now, and unfortunately this mattress topper is just not as comfortable any more. My back hurts, my hips hurt... and I'm now looking at upgrading to maybe the 3" (the 4" has questionable reviews about being too soft). I wish I could trade it in since it's within the warranty time period, but know that it likely won't qualify, which is a shame. Again, it's not a bad topper -- especially given the huge price cut it's gotten since I first bought it -- but it's just not the topper for me any more. Hopefully the 3" will be better. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I had the LUCID 2.5 inch gel infused memory foam topper for a twin bed, and LOVED it. Recently moved out of my studio apartment, so I was able to get my full sized bed back. While I was excited about getting my old bed back, I was sad to lose that memory foam topper. Decided this time to go with the 2 inch on from LUCID to save some money. Only took a few hours before it was basically to full size. I had no issues with the travel bag. The smell also went away super quick, I don't even remember noticing it that first night. I do prefer the 2.5 inch w/ bamboo cover to this 2 inch, BUT that said, the 2 inch is amazing. I sleep so much better than I did without it. The 2.5 inch was a bit firmer, but you still sank into it. This one I feel more like I nestle down into it. If I'm sleeping on my stomach, I don't really even need a pillow with it. I can't imagine sleeping without one of these gel infused memory foam toppers. Highly recommend getting one. Also, one note regarding the "cooling" affect or whatever. This mattress topper is not an ice pack. It's not going to lower the temperature of your bed. No mattress topper does that. What this does, however, is keeps your bed from increasing in heat. Memory foam toppers sometimes have an issue where they cause you to overheat in bed, these ones do not have that issue. That's what this whole cooling thing is about, keeping you from overheating.
