So I actually bought these for the hanging lights/cages that I had. I only needed two and it came with four - I figured I'd have two more for when they went out. This living room has NO lights in it, and if my hanging lights are across the room, I have no light when I get home at night and it's dark out. My door has one of those light switches associated with an outlet though, so I decided that if I put some lamp in the outlet, I can have a light near the door too. I ended up getting this floor lamp, and need a light for it. These lights worked perfectly for it too, so I now only have on leftover. ;) They give a soft warm glow. They aren't bright, so if you're looking to do anything that requires detailed work, these wouldn't be great, but between the three of them, they definitely light up my living room so I can see. They're a nice glow to chill in at night.
