I bought this product because in spite of anti virus programs my 3 computers were running slow and acting flaky. I'm a former IT guy and had hardened the targets as much as possible. I installed one of Consumer Reports top rated internet security programs. I beefed up the protection with Malawarebytes. I never click spam emails, go to sketchy sites, etc. Fix Me Stick points out that some viruses hide in the operating system and can not be found while it is running. Unfortunately, this is true. Fix Me Stick configures your computer to reboot into a Linux system on the stick that finds and cleans your viruses. All three computers were infected. I would love to give this five stars but the booting into Linux can be a little complicated for some PCs. You may have to find and hit your boot sequence key during startup. This varies by vendor but Fix me stick instructions provide this information for major brands. My son has a custom built computer that locked up when it hit the Fix Me Stick boot up screen. Fortunately, Fix Me Stick provided two fail safe boot options and the first I tried worked. I did not have to call tech support, even. So the product may require a bit of patience and tech support is available, if needed. My computers run like new again. I will use Fix Me Stick on a regular basis..
