This is a good quality product. Time will tell if it indeed lasts 10 years. The battery is not serviceable, so it is a throw-away item when the battery dies. Guess what ? The directions are awful ! The installation is simple as 1-2-3, but you need to somewhat figure out to remove the tab that locks the insertion in the base (see photos). I tried very hard to find somewhere in the instructions where it clearly states that you need to remove the (one) tab. A tab is mentioned with a microscopic picture... this might be it. Again, look at the photos.
