Great and cheap alternative for screen room
We've had one of these for 2 or 3 years now. It's a great and cheap alternative to a much more expensive screened room. We use this on our deck for our patio table set. My table is square, with 4 rocker chairs. It provides just enough coverage to get inside and to sit down. You must be careful with this, as the screening is not bulletproof, and the tube around the bottom could snag on decks with slivers (like mine). Take your time setting this up. It's a bit tricky installing over the umbrella. I usually draw up the drawstring of the screen a bit, fit it over my partially opened umbrella and then slowly open my umbrella, working the top of screening evenly over it as I go. MAKE SURE you find the zipper opening, and line it up where you are going to walk into it beforehand. Takes a bit of adjusting, but once you've done it, it will be easier next time. Also, carefully lay your tubing in a circle where you think it should be, like the photo shows. Then, when you are filling with water, you can keep testing how full it is,(don't overfill, it doesn't need to be tight to do the job) and adjusting the tube to accommodate the water. Don't make a habit of stepping on the tube. When filling, it's best to allow enough space in the tube for one or two 'footprints' just in case you do step on it so it doesn't burst.
This unit really does fit the bill for us, as it's so much cheaper than a screened room. Remember, this is a 30$ item, not $300. Also, the ballast helps to keep our umbrella from blowing over. We rarely put the umbrella down unless severe storm and wind warnings.
