I have yet to use it in the rain but I am truly impressed with this umbrella. It is substantial in weight and design. The 9 spokes make a huge difference. I can't see it inverting. I also like the semi-automatic closing. The initial "pop" of it startled me but it's a great feature. It may cost a little more but I got tired of buying a new umbrella every year (from the #1 seller of them) because they just broke. I also love the lifetime free replacement policy. Repel has a new friend!
