Best Sensitive Toothpaste No SLS, Fluoride or Numbing Agents (like Potassium nitrate)
I love this toothpaste. The only one that helped my sensitive teeth not hurt anymore. It actually helps seal exposed dentin by plugging up those little tubules holes that lead to the nerve. It plugs up those tubules holes with calcite. I like that is has no SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate), Fluoride, or numbing agents (like Potassium nitrate) that most sensitive toothpastes have. It also has a very low abrasive number of only 44. It is a plain white, good tasting, slightly sweet from the xylitol, very mild toothpaste that foams up well. I also entered the ingredients list through the EWG Skin Deep Cosmetics Database website and it got a zero toxin rating which is the best you can get. So I am going to stick with this one for my 5 year old Son and Myself. Tip: I read on a dentists website that recommended Squigle Tooth Builder toothpaste, he said to also skip the polishing when getting your teeth cleaned by the dental hygienist. He said that polishing already sensitive teeth is like 6 months worth of wear. He said something like, "A day in the chair is worth 6 months of wear". And, I noticed that every time after I would get my teeth polished that my teeth would hurt for about 3 months. So, I asked my dentist if I could skip the polish? He said yes you can because in dental school we are taught that polishing is optional. He said that people need to have their teeth cleaned but the polish is optional. So, since I have skipped the polishing for 2 times now, and using Squigle Tooth Builder that I can drink cold water now with no pain and it is WONDERFUL. I don't use mouthwash or any kind of spinning toothbrush anymore, because that also made my teeth extremely sensitive in the past. I now only use a Dr. Collins Perio Toothbrush, (colors vary) (Pack of 3), it is the softest and most effective toothbrush that has fine long soft bristles that clean better under the gumline, and my gums around my back teeth aren't sore anymore, and it doesn't hurt my sensitive teeth either. This Dr. Collins Perio Brush is better than the Oral B toothbrush the dentist gave me. I also brush very softly and be careful not to brush too hard. Using this toothpaste and toothbrush have made my teeth not hurt anymore and my teeth feel 100 times better! Here are the ingredients for Squigle Tooth Builder that I got off of their website: natural xylitol(prevents plaque, from birch trees), purified water (texture, from spring water), calcite(polishes and cleans, plugs open tubules, heals decay, from limestone), glycerin(moistener, from vegetable oil), poloxamer(super mild detergent, from natural gas), cellulose gum (thickener, foamer, from trees), Methocel®(thickener, foamer from trees), calcium propionate (antimicrobial, heals decay, from trees), lactoferrin (antimicrobial, from cow's milk)
