Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I made the mistake of starting this when I settled down for bed, thinking I'd read a few chapters and have something nice to look forward to tomorrow. I stayed up until 2 am reading the whole thing because I couldn't put it down. Kingfisher's writing reminds me of Discworld with the same great blending of humor and drama (without giving you mood whiplash!), down to earth heroes, and a unique, offbeat setting. There's bread golems, cannibal mercenaries, and a villainous Spring Green Man. What more could you want? I'm an avid reader of fantasy, and Kingfisher easily ranks in my top five authors. If you're trying to decide whether you'd like this book, you will. (The author writes books significantly better than I write reviews.)
