Don't let the 4-star review deter you. It should be a 4.5 out of 5 star review. I am basing this review partly on the cat's ability and desire to use the shelter as well as the shelter design. First, the design looks to be top notch. The top fits securely and there is Styrofoam insulation all around the shell including a top baffle. The top lid rotates to open or close a set of holes which act as vents. The shelter comes with a really plush bed that looks and feels soft and comfortable. It's made out of lightweight plastic and is easy to carry and move around. It is non obtrusive and doesn't stand out like a sore thumb so that's a plus as well. My only issue is that the cat I'm trying to shelter is semi-feral and doesn't really like to be confined -- at least not yet anyway. I purchased two outdoor pet heating pads and have placed one inside the Kitty Tube and one is sitting on an outdoor deck chair cushion. So far the cat likes the chair best even as the temperatures have dropped into the 20s the last few nights. I have tried to entice the cat with cat nip but so far he's only gone inside the Kitty Tube for about 15 seconds at a time. We have a raccoon problem as well so i hesitate to use food as a lure at this point. So, I'll give the Tube high marks all around for construction, shipping, design, etc. With an outdoor heating pad, it's about as cozy as you can make it. I'm still a little disappointed that the cat won't go in there yet though I'm blaming the cat more for that than the shelter. I would highly recommend this for its fit and finish and ease of use.
