I was a skeptic
This is coming from someone who was skeptical. I bought this with the thought that it really might not help at my house. I have super dark floors that are textured wavy. I have 2 boxer dogs.. one is a mix that sheds like crazy. The floors show dog fur, dust, dirt, etc. I am OCD about having a clean house and I was getting tired of dragging out the vacuum every day. Then in order to really get them clean I was having to run a dust mop over them after I vacuumed bc they are wavy and then mop. 3 step process was no fun. In comes this little savior. I have had it about 3 weeks now. I run it pretty much every other day. It gets all the dog hair, dust, etc off the floor. It does a great job, even with my textured floors. It makes a noise when going over the floors across the texture, but that's a given bc of the texture. I have a few rugs and it has no problem going over them from the floor. It doesn't get stuck or anything. It gets under my couches, tables, and other items on the floor. Which I can't even do with my old method. It takes a while to get every area of my floors (pretty much a full 2 hours) but I can run it while I work. I have to empty the bin at least 2x, but I don't mind. I work from home and its quiet enough that i can have a phone conversation or computer meeting and not have to turn it off. I still pull out my vacuum every other week to vacuum my couches and rugs real well, but I don't have to do much to the floor. I don't use it on my carpet upstairs either. When we first got it my dog barked at it and chased it, but after about the 3rd time he just pretty much ignores it. The other dog has always ignored it. Now about the mopping part. I haven't given up on that yet. I tried to use it only 2x now. The first time I was just checking it out, but I should have run the vacuum feature first bc it was just getting the cloth dirty. My issue is, I need it to vacuum and then mop immediately after. But bc it takes so long to vacuum I have to recharge it before i can mop with it and by then my floor has dog hair on it again. So the second time I tried it I just vacuumed an area myself and then turned on the mop. It was just creating a small streak area and the entire surface area of the mop cloth was not wet, so it really wasn't cleaning my floor. I let it run a little longer and it was getting more wet, but i think because my floors are textured it wasnt really working well. It was missing a lot of area. I am determined to figure out how I can get it to work better and will update if I do. The vacuum feature alone is worth it.
