AK 47 of the Knife World
This knife arrived from Amazon fairly quickly. These Condor Bushlore knives are crude compared to the Spyderco Bushcraft or Ray Mears Woodlore Knife. I believe this comparison is like comparing an AK-47 to the AR-15/M16. The Condor Bushlore is much cheaper, is tougher, and the heat treat is second to none.
My Bushlore (second version/see my pictures above) came with slightly uneven grid and the wood was rough. It's sheath was perfect in fit and finish. I feel I saved tons of money buying this Condor Bushlore instead of the knives mentioned above. If I lose a Condor Bushlore no problem but losing a Ray Mears Woodlore would make me yell very, very loudly.
Condor in El Salvador is a company that sells "semi-handmade" products so every knife is a little different just like a box of chocolates. Some knives have uneven grinds, some are a little shorter/longer, and still some have smaller/bigger handles. So if you want to buy this knife plan on sharpening/regrinding it or in some way ironing out whatever kinks it comes to your door with.
All in All adding the +'s and -'s you can not lose buying the Condor Bushlore knife. I use it for camping/hiking in Alaska. It is a great all around knife if you keep a convex grind on it.
