I bought this to replace a 9-year-old Black and Decker CM1936, which could no longer handle my 0.25 acre lawn even on two batteries, and new replacement batteries are no longer available. This GreenWorks mower was a definite upgrade: larger blade, MUCH lighter and more maneuverable, and extremely easy to assemble and use. The batteries are amazing: the B&D mower had massive batteries, bigger and heavier than bowling balls. They were 36V, and needed overnight to charge. The 80V GreenWorks batteries are easy to carry in one hand, about the size of a large brick, and charge in 30 minutes. However, they do only give about 15-20 minutes' mowing time, especially for damp or longer grass, and the 30 minute charge time is usually about 10 minutes longer since the hot battery has to cool (in the charger) before charging can begin. So, I recommend investing in at least 2 of the 2.0A batteries, or maybe even 2 of the 4.0A for all but those with small lawns or a lot of spare time to wait for batteries to charge mid-mow.
