Before I get into my minor grip, let me start off by saying that I love these. They are a bit pricey compared to plastic cups, but they are FAR more reusable. So yes, maybe you could get 120 solo cups for the same price, but each of these cups could easily survive a dozen uses, so from a pure finance perspective they aren't as expensive as they seem. That isn't why you want these. Trust me when I say that pouring a drink into one of these bad boys, fresh from the freezer, is 10x more enjoyable than a plastic cup. Heck, I like them a lot more than some of my nicer glassware. There is just something about how frosty cost the cup gets. I'm not sure you need to get these for little kids unless you value the eco-friendly aspect, as I doubt they'd appreciate the nuance. All that being said, the one complaint I had was the packaging. How come when I by a USB adapter off Amazon it comes in a 3ft long box with plastic bag padding, but my aluminum cups got stuffed in a thin plastic envelope and kicked to my house. The box these came in were absolutely mutilated and it's a testament to the sturdiness of the cups that only a couple had minor dings.
