Overall, I really like this DVR. It works well with Dragon Premium, which was my purpose in purchasing it. I do have an issue with the screen being too dark. I'm not sure if I received a defective product, but even in bright light, it is nothing like bright the pictures in the description. Now in the "Frequently Bought Together," as I write this a soft carrying case is listed. DO NOT BUY A SOFT CARRYING CASE! The DVR comes with the EXACT SAME CASE! Also, if you want to use an external microphone, it MUST have its own power source. I got the BOYA BY-M1 3.5mm Electret Condenser Microphone, and I am amazed by its clarity. I find the playback much clearer, and having a lavalier clip-on mike is much more convenient rather than having to hold the DVR.
