This cushion is very soft and has helped to relieve the pain I get in my right thigh when I drive my car which is the main reason I bought the cushion so I guess that is a "pro". That being said, I am short (5'1") and bought this to boost me up a little and it does give me a little boost, but it's not much, maybe a couple of inches max. I could use a couple more inches of height though so if you're buying it for this reason just know, it will only boost you a couple of inches max. And if the front of the cushion was even thinner, that would be better, as it lifts my legs slightly but that makes it so I couldn't reach the gas pedal in my usual seat position and I had to move my seat closer to reach the pedal (yes I know I'm ridiculously short!). I don't like sitting closer to the steering wheel so if the thinner end of the wedge was even thinner, I would not have had to move my seat up. Lastly, even though it has a non slip bottom, it still moves out of position every time I get in and out of my car so I need to take time adjusting the position every time I get in my car.
