I was looking for a product other than Scotch Guard as I'm trying to be more wary of the chemicals I expose my family (including pets) to. We purchased our first new sofa/ loveseat set in a beautiful seafoam green. In the past we've had used leather furniture which wipes up pretty easily, and I didn't want the new stuff to stain. I've only just applied the product in the last week, so I can't speak to how it holds up, but I followed the directions and water does now bead off of it, which gives me hope in cleaning up future messes. This is especially important given I constantly have my daughter's friends (ages 6 - 10) in and out of the house and we have a new puppy. For reference, I used about 3/4 of a bottle on my new sofa and loveseat, purposely leaving a bit behind. Then did the water test and anywhere where the water seeped in, I'd spray again with the fabric spray. It was JUST enough for both pieces of furniture, but I have this on autoship every 6 months just in case. I will add as well that it didn't really have a smell. I'm used to Scotchguard which is pretty smelly stuff, but this didn't smell at all. I still followed the directions and opened up the house a bit just in case, but again, didn't notice any smells, nor did my husband when he got home, and he's very sensitive to smells. So far so good!
