Initial review when I found out I hated it before I did research: HAZARDDDD. I loved this bassinet when I saw it and for the first few weeks of my little ones life. She is 10 weeks and I found her with her face smooshed against the side that connects to the bed. Which until now I never noticed the mesh sides do not start down as low as the opposite side so her face was not in the mesh it was against fabric which makes me SUPER NERVOUS SHE'S GOING TO SUFFOCATE. I'm not sure why the other sides mesh is so much lower and safer and the side close to your bed is soooo much higher But unfortunately I will more than likely no longer be using this one as it is such a safety hazard. Luckily for me I woke up and found her before something awful could have happened. Just saying buyer BEWARE this thing is NOT SLEEP SAFE. Both sides should have the mesh low enough to where the babies face would be and the side that'll be against your bed IS NOT. Attached pictures for reference. EDIT: I researched and asked my pediatrician apparently as long as it's labeled a "crib or bassinet" it is considered to be safe and the material has been tested and approved for little baby noses to be up against it even if it's not mesh. Thank god now I can go back to loving this thing and getting some sleep again.
