I like these pants, however the fit can vary widely depending on what color you purchase. I am stocking up on pants for work. I have found (from reading the labels) that certain colors and certain lengths are made in different countries, and discovered that the fit varies ALOT depending on which country they come from. In some colors I wear an 8 short (Coffee), and in other colors (Black, Carbonite gray, and Woodspice) I have to go up to a 10 short because the 8s fit way too tight. I mean, the 8s in those colors were RIDICULOUSLY tight. The lengths also vary somewhat depending on what country makes them. I would suggest ordering at least 2 or 3 pairs of each size/color, and just to be safe order 2 sizes as well. Your usual size, and then one size larger. That's how I've had the best luck ending up with at least one or two pairs that fit. A word on length......at 5'5" the short length is really good, even with wearing a LOW heel. I doubt I will dry these in the dryer, other than 10 minutes on low to get wrinkles out. I like the length and don't want it to shrink. Hope this helps!!!
