With my new memory foam chair cushion and back cushion, I couldn't reach the floor with my feet! I was about an inch too short to touch the floor! That was very uncomfortable. This seemed like an extravagance until I tried it. I love it. The only issue I had to deal with was that my waste basket was too wide to fit under the desk with the foot rest there. I had to order a very narrow one. No problem, Amazon had a 5" wide one.
