These lights are exactly as advertised and are really pretty. I bought two strands to zigzag over a 12x10 area and they're just about right - I was a little concerned that the 3 foot spacing in between bulbs would look skimpy, but they provide great ambient light and look just right as a canopy about 9' overhead. Be warned that they're not joking around about these being heavy duty - they're much, much heavier than cheap party light strings, too heavy to hang under their own weight for any span longer than four or five feet. You MUST suspend them from tensioned and anchored wires and spread the load across truss wires if you're doing a canopy - no zigzagging overhead over a wide unsupported span. 4 stars because each strand had one or two bulbs that were already broken in the box; at only 15 bulbs each that's disappointing.
