First, I need to point out that this is my very first review on Amazon. I've been a relatively happy customer prior to this but I've never really felt that I wanted to share just how amazing a particular product was, until now. With the COVID thing going on, I decided now would be a great time to put some of those New Year's resolutions to the test and start exercising and getting fit. I love to listen to music when I work out, but I've never been able to find a set of wireless (or wired) headphones that could put up with being sweaty, or maintain connection as I move around. Invariably they'll cut out or disconnect as I twist and bend, etc. The problem that I encountered when shopping for some IPX7 earbuds is that there are A LOT of them out there, and I didn't want to waste my money or have to deal with returning them if I didn't like them. So I spent the month of April shopping, reading, and watching YouTube videos on various earbuds and why one was good or bad, ect. while I put up with my crappy old ones. As some of you out there probably have discovered, trying to find a tech product like this can be just as confusing as anything else, again, because there are so many on the market, and after a while all the reviews begin to sound the same (pun). I finally settled on just hitting all the five star products with a reasonable price; $50 being my purchase limit and this particular product has a five star rating by 93% of the customers - one of the highest to be sure. So I decided to take the plunge and get them. The first thing I noticed right away was that these particular earbuds have an INCREDIBLE ability to stay connected, and they were RIDICULOUSLY easy to pair and connect to my smartphone. In fact the connection is so good that I completely forgot that I was needing to stay near my smart phone (something my old wireless earbuds needed) and when I took a break and went into the kitchen or bathroom to get a drink or a towel they remained flawlessly connected. AMAZING! But all this pales in comparison to the excellence of the sound quality and ease of use. I received them a day early - always nice - and when I shared them with my wife she looked at me and said “I’m jealous,” because they were so much better than the ones she picked and I bought for her for Christmas. She then said, “You’re getting me a pair of these for Mother’s Day (big subtle hint from my darling wife of 30+years)” and of course I immediately ordered a second pair for her (that’s how you stay married for 30+ years, FYI ^_^). The bass is great (you can really hear it pumping on songs like “Sail” by AWOLNATION). The touch sensitive “Tapping” you do to move music forward or backward is great, as is the ease of moving the volume up and down, or pausing the song. It is pretty sensitive, but that’s easily dealt with if you just hold the earbud on its sides as you adjust it in your ear. It comes with LOTS of sizes so pretty much anyone should be able to comfortably wear them - kids to adults - and the sound canceling is pretty good. They stay in your ears when sweaty, and they pass the “Head shake” test (where you shake your head around like a head-banger). I’d still recommend getting the warranty that unconditionally protects against drops, etc. because it would suck if one did happen to fall out and break, or if the charging case were to break for any reason from accidentally dropping it, etc. The charging case is beautiful and the lid, which is somewhat opaque, allows you to see that they are charging and how charged they are. Furthermore it has a nice digital display so you really can’t go wrong there. The case itself has a nice weight and feel to it, and easily sits in your pocket - it feels much like an old-school pager from back in the 90s. Pairing and connecting to my smartphone - as I mentioned earlier - was a piece of cake, and when they are in the charging case they automatically shut off and start charging right away; and it takes no time at all for them to be back to 100% after a decent workout, or if you happen to wear them while shopping for groceries, etc. I also like that the case itself can be used as an emergency cell charging battery which is always useful in a pinch! Seriously, I am suuuuper happy with this product and happily give it five stars for overall quality and design. I suppose the best rating that I could give this product is the “Would you buy it again,” rating, and clearly the answer is YES, because I already did buy a second one for Mother’s Day for my wife. Absolutely fantastic! ^_^
