After reading MANY reviews, I chose to use the measurements listed to determine the size to order - Bust measurement is 42, so I ordered the extra large. It turns out I probably could have ordered the large, but I like the extra room for layering sweaters, bulky scarves, etc and it is ever so comfortable. My arms measure 23 1/2 inches from shoulder to wrist & the sleeves hit just above my knuckles on my hands - too long for some folks, but it means I can pull my fingers up into my sleeves when I don't have gloves. Besides the sleeves easily fold up. I'm 5'4" and the length hits just above my knees, giving me great coverage. LOVE the design of the hood, as it zips up close under the chin making it not require those annoying cords that have to be tighten to keep the hood on! It is very lightweight, but our weather in north GA has been as low as 19 and with a long sleeve top I was comfortable. In 30-40 degrees I was great with even a short sleeve top (and I am normally cold all the time). Even got to test it for water-resistant: it was pouring & while it was wet on the surface, it did not affect the interior & after hanging it upside down for about 15 minutes at home it was thoroughly dry. The pics I've included show how easily the interior flaps that are the pockets can be turned into interior pockets as well: just stitch through all the fabric across the outside seam that is at the bottom of the each pocket zipper & the inside is now sealed and you now have two inside pockets as well as the outside zippered ones. Love the two way zipper (although it does take patience to line them up to get it started). No pokey feathers to come through the surface and every bit as warm (if not warmer!) than a 32degrees jacket I purchased for almost as much from Costco. This is a wonderful purchase for travel where you might need warmth, water resistant and light weight - would have given it ten stars! Even though I dislike reviews that just talk about the color & how quick it arrived (duh!) - the red color pops & as most always with Amazon it arrived quickly!
