We love both of our Dyson vacuums. The cordless model will not give you 40 minutes of MAX POWER cleaning. However, if you need that much time, why not use a regular vacuum? The short lifespan of the cordless is fine for touch up vacuuming - baseboards, basement steps, couch, nooks and crannies, and our cat trees. One major gripe for both of our Dysons is that the head of vacuum does not vacuum right up to your baseboards. There's a two-inch gap between the baseboard or wall and where the vacuum head hits. It's frustrating to have to go back with an attachment to completely clean a room -- especially when Dyson is so expensive and supposed to be the best of the best.
