I love this product, but I do not use it as directed. After reading other customers' reviews, I decided not to use it straight from the bottle. Instead, I put some in a small spray bottle (purchased in the travel accessories department at Target). Then I brush it through using a ball tipped bristle brush. Now I can easily control the amount that I use. I am not trying to "color" my hair totally black - - - I just want to decrease the stark black/white contrast. Using Roux Fancy-Full Rinse in the spray bottle helps me achieve the look that I want.
