I am sold on grape seed extract but 400 mg could be too much for some people
I had prior to this product been using Nature's Way grape seed extract 100mg and getting good results. I first started trying grape seed extract years ago for overall health, got away from it for a few years, and then suffered a knee injury which I begin taking the Nature's Way after reading an article that bodybuilders and the like were using grape seed extract for inflammation. The Nature's Way product that I begin to take again was 100 mg of the grape seed extract with 200 mg of vitamin C( absorbic acid). Within a week my knee pain was virtually gone. Since then Nature's Way has taken the vitamin C out of the product but I continue to take 150 two 200 mg of vitamin C daily as I think the combination might have been the ticket. My concern is with this product,The Zazzee grape seed extract is the dosage of 400 mg. I recently experienced, after taking the 400 mg for a couple of weeks, heart palpitations and my blood pressure dropped substantially probably too much. So bottom line realize that grape seed extract can be very useful for overall health, cardiovascular, help lower blood pressure, Etc, just closely monitor yourself if you're going to take this high of a dosage. I would start off with something in the 100mg range coupled with the 150 to 200 mg of vitamin C. If any doubts or concerns I would check with your doctor. And you could always split the zazzee up over multiple days. It tastes nasty but you could try to mix it in with a smoothie or your oatmeal or whatever or buy some empty capsules to split it up. Hope this helps someone.
