After looking around at other monoculars, I chose this one for several reasons. I have the same brand in a binocular and am very pleased with it. The specs on this one helped make my decision. And when I received it, I was happy that the monocular more than lives up to the specs. Clear field of vision, sturdy hand strap, and the adjustment knob for focusing allows you to zero in on an object or critter from far away, making it look very close. I did try a few photos with it attached to my phone, but am still getting the hang of that. They turned out OK, but I am sure that with patience and practice they will improve. The tripod does need to sit on a sturdy base or table. It only allows for about 8" of height when your phone is attached. However, it does tilt and swivel and the legs can be adjusted individually. Nice case to store the monocular and tripod in. A good value for under 100. It does have some heft to it, but not too heavy, and seems to be very well designed and manufactured.
