This works quickly and the battery life seems solid. My child has asthma so this really comes in handy when checking oxygen levels when they're asleep. It relieves my worries of if she's getting enough oxygen when her breathing may sound bothered or rough. I also check for oxygen levels before and after medicine and using inhalers. It comes with a lanyard that keeps me from dropping it!
