I like the looks and the quality of the garment (have been buying the Jockey French Cut undergarments for 20 years!), but this particular cut (the ELANCE French Cut) is cut roomier than the CLASSIC French Cut which is cut more fitted. I also think the CLASSIC French Cut is more flattering because there is less material on the side of the garment, so it makes the upper thigh appear longer; and on the CLASSIC French cut, the elastic band around your tummy lays flat and is uncovered. By contrast, the ELANCE 's elastic around the tummy is a little smaller and is covered by fabric so it's looks more uniform. Both the CLASSIC and the ELANCE are very similar in looks, but I would say if you have a more generous bottom, get the Elance, and if you have more of a boyish bottom, get the Classic cut. For my particular body, this garment is a 4 star garment, while the CLASSIC French Cut is a 5-star garment. WORTH NOTING: Jockey's customer service is absolutely *** stellar *** and I wholeheartedly recommend them. Yes, the quality of the garment has changed a little bit over the years (same as everybody else) but if you are looking for an all cotton, comfortable, durable garment for active wear, or just to be comfortable in all day, look no further.
