I finally decided to abandon my old generic travel mugs by purchasing a few Thermos stainless steel containers. I bring coffee to work almost every morning and the Thermos containers have worked flawlessly. When holding the Thermos, it’s hard to determine the temperature of the fluid inside because it’s so well insulated. There are three parts (bottle, cap and pour stopper) making it easy to use and dishwasher friendly. The tall slim design limits the number of coffee makers that it will fit under, but allows the container to fit snugly in cup holders. I used a Seek thermal camera to monitor the temperature over time against my old mug (see pictures).
