I originally planned to have my newborn sleep in a pack n play in our room. After one night I realized getting up every two seconds to get him and or check on him was not going to work. I then spent the next two weeks in a chair with him all night. I was hesitant to buy this as it is very expensive for something that will just last a few months. But my lack of sleep convinced me to get it and I don't regret my decision one bit! This thing has been a LIFE saver. Me and my baby now get some quality sleep and I don't have to spend as much time getting in and out of bed when he needs me. If I had to do it all over again, I'd skip the pack n play and go straight to this. Its sturdy and is flush with our bed which is a little higher.
