Good, but make sure to experiment with dosage
I have used this a couple weeks before writing this review. I find that these work for me, improving regularity and softness, but I had to take four caps two times a day with plenty of water to make them effective. Now for me, if that is all I have to do to avoid hemorrhoids and/or fissures, then it's worth it.
EDIT: Some time after writing this review, I tried to use fiber powder, first Benefiber (ASIN B00CX3ASFE), then Optifiber (ASIN B0091FABUE). I found both of these (at one serving, or 2tsp per day) to be considerably more effective than the fiber caps, with Optifiber being somewhat more effective for me (and less expensive) than Benefiber. I would recommend using the powders over the caps if you have the option.
EDIT2: To make it clear, there are two primary sorts of fiber powders. Wheat Dextrin types, like Benefiber and Optifiber, and psyllium husk powder types, like Now Supplements' Psyllium Husk Powder (ASIN B002RWUNYM). The former is better for general digestive health, has barely any taste, and doesn't change the viscosity of liquids all that much. Latter is better suited for improving regularity and consistency, has a distinct flavor and swiftly thickens liquids even in relatively small amounts (1tsp/8oz). I've found that the former works well to augment my diet, but the latter is best for keeping regularity from day to day (1-2tsp per day in 16oz water).
I mix my fiber powder with my protein shake; the wheat dextrin types I can barely tell are there, but the psyllium husk takes a good deal of getting used to. Nevertheless, just take it when you wake up while going through your usual morning ablutions.
