My senior dog has been having a hard time getting up the stairs. We got these so there was more traction on the wooden stairs. We did have a peel and stick on clear plastic coating on the stairs and it kept peeling off so we thought this might work better. They do slide a bit but we stuck them down with carpet tape. Once we did that these don't move and my dog can get up so much better with the grip on them!! We liked it so much we got more to go down into the basement.
