I bought these for my red/green, moderately colorblind son. He is 11 and and had very high hopes so I really didn't want him to be disappointed! His reaction was incredibly genuine and emotional...we were all moved. He has had them for 4 days and wears them all day in school as well as outside! He first got them outside and was immediately gushing over the greens saying how beautiful our world is and how he has missed out. Then as we drove to dinner, he pointed out all the red signs everywhere he always thought were brown! Then at the restaurant, a man at a table across from us said "I have those glasses!" He was probably in his 50's and he and my son continued to talk about all the new colors they saw. He said he was probably going to buy more to have one at work as well. It was a huge coincidence to be sitting next to him and that he recognized them (but of course, my son couldn't talk about everything he was seeing!!). The next evening we had a thunderstorm so I took Matthew outside in hopes of seeing a rainbow. He always thought rainbows were just shades of blue. I have included a photo of him looking at the rainbow. I understand from reviews that these aren't equally effective for everyone, but at this price, one would be wrong not to try them. Some colors Matthew was not spot on with, but when he would ask me what color is this? I would say, I'm not telling you, you tell me. Then he would say brown, or dark green without the glasses, and red with them. We did not feed him the answers so I know these do help and work with much color detection.
