Ok... Here's the Nitty Gritty truth on this bag. I've worked a lot of cattle in my life, & I've worked quite a bit of leather (even considered making my own, I have all the tools & leather, but no time). This Bag is REAL Leather, & it is designed take a REAL beating. I believe that in a heavy rain if the flap is closed all of your contents will remain Dry. A person would have to live hard to wear one of these out in a lifetime. Sad, that seeking classic American Leather Craftsmanship, I was forced to resort to Italian at a decent price to be honest, having walked in a few amazing leather shops here in Santa Fe ( & yes downtown Santa Fe is expensive). If you seek to get a bag of this quality in the states made in the USA, expect to pay 600$ or more. If you can find a local american shop that can pump out this quality at 225$ you send me their info please. I would have Preferred to have kept a purchase like this local. But at the end of the day, This is a HUGE bag. Could fit 4 or 5 15.6 laptops if you wished & could effortlessly hold the weight. Mine looks just like the pics, Else I would have posted my own. Also. Ignore shipping info, you will likely get this bag in just over a week. I purchased this bag on 12/30/14 Received Mid-day 1/5/15. Expected delivery was on 2/15/15. (no shipping charge, on the Holidays btw) Those are the facts, Pricey? maybe.. depends on if you are willing to settle on Goat Leather, & Size, .. For me the Size, & Leather quality will not have me regretting this purchase ever. Easily saddle Leather quality.
