Do the math
Green Forest Tissue is 352 sheets/roll times 48 rolls divided by $52.25 yields 323 sheets / $1. Seventh Generation is 300 sheets/roll divided by $33.15 which yields 434 sheets / $1. However, the width of the 7th generation roll is 1/2" less or 89% as wide as the Green Forest rolls. That reduces the amount of paper one actually gets from the 7th generation roll down to 385 sheets / $1. So, for 90% post-consumer waste for the Green Forest we get 290 sheets post-consumer / $1. The 7th Generation has 50% post-consumer waste or 192 sheets post-consumer / $1. Hence, environmental bang for the buck yields Green Forest far in the lead because creating a market for post-consumer waste is half the environmental goal. Couple that with much better reviews for Green Forest and if your main goal is to be greener by buying this product for every dollar you spend, one's best choice is Green Forest. If one can't afford $52.25 up front then 7th Generation is a good choice. I also called the company and all the post-consumer paper comes from the midwest. The product is 100% made in the USA in Wisconsin I believe.
