Saved me $$
Easy to use. I have a 2006 Ford Ranger 4.0L and was concerned about the check engine light. Figured out through some research that one of the most common things this points to is a problem with the gas cap. I had already tried to just remove and re-tighten the cap but that didn't help. Since I live in a fairly rural area I was nervous about not being able to use my truck to get anywhere so I was originally going to take it to the dealer ($$$). Didn't want to spend that money so I did some more research about the OBD (on-board diagnostics) port and found all of these different ones on Amazon. I chose this one because it was inexpensive and because of other reviewers. After I plugged this into my truck,, I installed the Torque Lite app on my android phone, got the code and looked it up online. The information I got said it was a minor environmental issue which again pointed to the gas cap. Went and got a new gas cap, used this device (and app) to reset the code and viola, no more check engine light. I used the app to check other things like vacuum pressure as well. I would have given it 5 stars however the LEDs are on the top of the device and when plugged in to the port, they are not visible. I am sure this is not limited to just my vehicle. Perhaps moving the LEDs to the end of the device would be better.
