I repair and build clocks And I know whats good and bad. No windup clock will be as accurate as a quartz clock and neither was your grand fathers clock. This clock is a good clock for the 12 dollars I paid for it on Amazon. I Made a slight adjustment on the clock speed (+-) on the back of the clock and it is fairly accurate. The ticking is soft and pleasant. This is a good clock for those that prepair for emergencies (preppers). No battery or electricity is needed. If Marathon is reading this, I would like to see a windup wall clock. No one is making an inexpensive windup wall clock that I know of. Do not over wind any clock and wind this one once or twice a day.
