Life Changing
My wife and I went to see this film on a very snowy and cold winter's day expecting to see a a heartwarming, gentle movie about a child and his nightmares. This movie was anything but heartwarming and gentle. I would describe this movie as a fire lit under one's soul and not gently but forcefully. It was much more than heartwarming. It kindled a fire in my heart that drove me to face my own truths in life, my owns fears, my own drama, and even my own deep dark secrets. This film must be seen to be fully comprehended. I can tell you it's about a kid and his mom. It's about a deep secret. It's about truth and love and coming to terms with one's own deep seeded resentments. But it is so much more. It will rip your heartfelt emotions out into the light where even the hardest of people must face themselves in the mirror. In 32 years of marriage I can not remember neither my wife nor I crying in a movie theater...go figure this time. By the end of this movie there was not a dry eye in the theater. Not one. Everyone sat crying, credits rolling, tears flowing, and fears faced. We all walked into an entertaining movie...but we left having our lives changed forever. Make sure when you see this you take plenty of tissues. You will need them if you are human... or even if you are a monster..
