I purchased this small bag a month ago for a trip that I took last week. I wanted a bag that would definitely fit under the seat of the airplane so I wouldn't have to worry about finding overhead bin space. It seems that every time I go on a flight, they stick me in the group that boards last and then all the overhead storage bins are full. This bag is small and it doesn't hold very much. Imagine a normal carry on bag and then chop it in half. The bag does fit under the seat on an airplane in either direction. Either by shoving it straight under the seat or placing it under there sideways. I had it under the seat on 4 flights and I sat in each type of seat; window, middle & aisle. The bag worked in each seat configuration. The airline was American Airlines. Right now Amazon is selling this bag for $78.99. I paid $100.00 for this bag a month ago.
