Update 2, 5/31/21: My third Conair 1875 Watt Cord-Keeper Hair Dryer died after two years of daily use. I’m so glad to see it hasn’t been discontinued! I bought another one. 😊 Update1, 10/26/19: My second Conair 1875 Watt Cord-Keeper Hair Dryer died after two years of daily use. I bought another one to replace it. 😊 - - - - I purchased this Conair 1875 Watt Cord-Keeper Hair Dryer through Amazon Warehouse as an open box item. It replaces my Conair 1875 Watt Cord-Keeper Hair Dryer that I purchased in December 2013, which died after 3-1/2 years of daily use. The dryer is in like-new condition and works just as well as my old one. It is loud, but so was my old one. My son once joked that it sounded like a plane was taking off when I had the air on the High setting. Normally, the Low setting is sufficient--I only use the High setting when I'm running late and need to dry my hair fast. I love the pink color--my old one was red. I saw some of the complaints about the dangers with the retractable cord. I don't know why Conair doesn't include instructions. Before pressing the button to retract the cord, you should secure the plug so it doesn't hit you when the cord retracts. I grasp the cord just below the plug and hold it next to the base of the handle (see photo). I then press the button to retract the cord with my other hand.
