Excellent walkie talkies for the price! We took them on a hiking trip this weekend and all four survived. (The walkies, and the people, haha.) This includes my seven year old dropping his several times. It's scratched up, but it still works great. I'm not sure how far away they worked from, but we were all over the nature trails talking to each other the entire time. Batteries are still over half full after about six hours on the trail. There are a lot of channels and privacy bands to choose from. We didn't encounter any crossover. I was able to scan to the weather radio and pick up current conditions. I thought that was really awesome. My old Motorola set I use at work CAN'T do any of that. The included lanyards are a nice touch, but I prefer to use the belt clip instead. It ended up being a game for my youngest who decided to swing his around. My wife and I kept ours on the shoulder straps of our backpacks. Very convenient, though. I'll probably use one of the gray lanyards for my namebadge at work. I'm extremely satisfied with these. We'll be getting a lot of use out of them this summer. Very cool!
