I started taking this product to help with acne breakouts. I have tried everything you can think of but I never realized zinc played such an important role in fighting infection! It really helps clear up my break outs fast! One important note about the dosage is a little high if you are planning on taking it daily on a regular basis. Your body can only really metabolism 40 mg per day and over a long period of time you could develop a zinc toxicity. However to use for a short time to kick an infection this dose works very well
