I've been playing Township for a few months now, it has been a very enjoyable game. It works well on my Kindle, and though it's an app where you can spend money to make progress, it's very easily played without spending any at all. You progress at a nice pace, and there is a community of other players who can help you in certain tasks as well as you can help them. I like, that they don't have to be Facebook friends, in fact you don't have to "friend" them at all, and there's no "chat" involved. There are occasionally videos to watch, which are ads. They are short, maybe 30 seconds max. You can ignore watching them if you like, but if you do, you get rewarded with a "Town Buck" And there is a "House of Luck, where you can spend clover letters, received from others in the community as thank you's when you help them load their planes or trains.. Give it a try, you won't be sorry...
