There is a lot to like about the NightFox Swift at this price point. My only two gripes are 1. The built in illuminator LEDs are 850 nanometer instead of 940 nanometer, so they will visually give away your presence to others with just the naked eye. My solution is to just not use the illuminator of the NightFox and use the 940 nm illuminator on my other devices. However, #2 is my biggest gripe. I added an extra batter on the back of my helmet thinking I could plug in to the NightFox and extend its run time and that is not the case. As soon as I plug in the external battery the NightFox shuts down and goes into a "charging" mode. Despite those two issues, which are my only gripes, I think that this is an amazing value for the price when compared to the alternatives. NightFox, if you are listening, simply switching the illuminator LEDs to 940 nanometer and allowing for external batteries to be connected while the unit is running would make your product unbeatable in the market.
