The sheet will stop working if normal cleaning methods are used and the washing instructions that come with the product are followed. I found out from someone else who called the company that the sheet should be washed in hot water without detergent. If you use detergent, especially eco- friendly detergents, as I do, the oils in the soap interfere with the conductivity of the silver threads. Then the sheet cannot ground you. The sheet has such great health benefits, but it seems ridiculous that the accompanying washing instructions result in the product not working. You can salvage your sheet, as I did, by several hot water washings to get the soap/oil residue out.
