I bought these flats years ago just for running around in. They were fine, no arch support, man-made materials, no rubbing spots, lightweight. I didn't really appreciate them UNTIL. A couple of months ago, we went to Europe. Because they are so light and flat, I threw them in my suitcase thinking I could slip them on in the hotel, plane, wherever I needed a quick footcover. What I didn't count on however, was getting a horrible blister my very first day in the Dallas airport in a new pair of boots. :( These shoes were literally the only shoes I was able to wear for two weeks in Europe. After already putting many miles on them, I was able to walk the cobblestone streets of Florence, Venice, the hill towns of Tuscany, rainy walks in Germany and Austria, and finally a seemingly endless walk and security wait at Charles de Gaulle Airport in France and then home. There is not a loose seam anywhere on this shoe. I am amazed at how this little shoe I picked up to run around in held up under the punishment it accidentally ended up having to deal with. I actually threw them on with some cute ankle pants to wear to dinner last night, looking no worse for the wear and soft as butter, and I looked at them and just smiled.
