Good to Go
I’ve had this since March 2020 right around when Covid hit, the steam room is the biggest draw for me in my Gym membership. To bring the experience home has been great. Its hard to liken it as a comparable experience to what I find in a real commercial quality steam room. But for what it is, it gets the job done! A few tips I stick by over the months and I’ve had zero problems. Number one is I use ONLY DISTILLED WATER. I don’t know if the manual call for this but seems like this will help avoid some of the water deposit problems so I stick to it. I always check the reservoir frequently before I start to make sure there is enough water of course before I heat it up. Once it drained while I was in it and a auto shutoff did kick in. I would prefer to Avoid that and not put stress on the unit so I check my water level more often after that. 2) DONT BURN YOURSELF if the tube comes loose while it’s on it will be really hot, handle with a cloth or something if you have to put it back on, and don’t tinker with the interior piece either where steam comes in, very hot of course move feet away and out its path.
Takes about 10 mins for mine to get to good heat. I think I’m going to enable a smart plug for added convenience while at home. So I can roll out of bed or activate from the couch and it will be ready for use. As I said earlier check to make sure you have enough water in the tank frequently before and after each use, I just never want to rely on auto shut off.
I bring in a tea light candle oil burner with me with peppermint oil let it burn for 3 mins or so then blow it out, it really heightens the steam experience for me. And leaving my T-shirt on gives me a better steam comparable to the one at the gym. It gets plenty hot and 15mins is the max I do on the highest level. I can’t afford a fancy behind the tile commercial unit so my expectation for what I paid for is spot on. It’s big so as long as you have the space not a problem. Im 6'2 and can pretty much stand in it. The foam mat that comes with will stink after a few steams so I do tend to wash that after several uses.
Overall I’m satisfied with this unit.
