Never gets old! (READ)
I've been playing since a kid and it has stayed as the #1 game in both my life and in the world! It works great on the Kindle. I can connect with friends and on servers. Let me just say that survival is the only way to play in my opinion, unless you are doing PvP battles in a personally built arena. Its SO incredibly great, as long as you know what you are doing. My advice would be to check out a few books on Minecraft or read a walkthrough. It has a lot of steps to beating the game (defeating the ender dragon and the wither).
A sample of this is: obtain wood, craft a wood pick axe, mine Stone, craft a stone pick axe, mine iron, smelt in a furnace, craft iron pick axe, mine diamonds, craft a diamond pickaxe., mine obsidion, make a nether portal, craft flint and steel, ignite the nether portal, find a nether fortress, obtain blaze rods, obtain ender pearls, craft eye of ender w/ blaze powder, find stronghold with the eye of ender, activate end portal, destroy end crystals on the obsidion towers, kill the ender dragon, get 3 wither skeleton heads from the nether, make the wither and defeat it, craft a beacon.
So yeah, read up on it.
As soon as I get a PC I will dive into speed running, since there are lots of shortcuts you can use, but this is just the necessary steps in beating the game. Mojang has outdone themselves with the extras and especially the updates. You can get so sidetracked with all the cool stuff! (Brewing potions, enchanting, exploring end cities, villages, temples, mansions, monuments, shipwrecks, buried treasure, caves in search of diamond for armor and weapons, the biomes of the over world and the nether)
And then there are commands and command blocks. You can do just about anything. I used commands to build an invisible barrier around an arena, then used command blocks to give each of the people in the arena (a 200 x 200 desert with cactus, soul sand, cobwebs, a temple, lava, water, and pressure plates with tnt under them) a load out of weapons and scattered chests with enchanted books around. We had a blast duking it out for supremecy.
All in all, it has been the most return on my money I have ever experienced. If you are buying it for creative, then I would say think it over. If you are interested in survival, then BUY!!!!
Best. Game. Ever.
