This product is well worth the $30 you pay for it. I think a lot of the reviews dismissing it's small size are people who don't pay attention to the information on the product itself. This was advertised with correct specifications and it made no assumptions on size. It is advertised as a media storage cabinet (not books but CDs, DVDs, and Blu-Rays). If you're buying this for books, then I don't recommend doing that. It's 3ft tall, but if you read the information on the product, you will see that it is this tall. If you buy it without taking 5 minutes to research the reviews or the product information, then you don't deserve to give this a bad review. Alas, people don't always shop smart, hence the sizable bad reviews for this. I will review this as honestly as I can: Shipping: Amazon always does shipping right. Got it in 2 days with Prime and since I bought two, they were boxed together in single box and each unit was boxed inside another box. A little overkill, but whatever. Building: This took a little bit of time, the instructions are pretty basic, but you eventually figure it out. I did find myself accidentally putting one of the boards on the wrong way, but the quality of the materials allowed me to unscrew it and get it on the right way with little problem. One of the units even had an extra screw in case I lost one or one became stripped. Quality: Yes, this is made of particle board and has a laminated cardboard piece for the back. You shouldn't go in expecting high quality woodwork for $30. If you want high quality wood work, you're gonna have to pay for that. For the price, it was good for what I wanted. Once together it felt sturdier than I expected, so overall I was happy with quality. I would definitely -- and am considering -- getting more of these.
